Meet the Team

Hi! I’m David, a second-year medical student at BU Chobanian & Avedisian School of Medicine. As a child with severe atopic dermatitis, I spent years hiding my skin and questioning my self-worth because of something I couldn’t control. My experiences now drive my work with Comfortable In Our Skin, where I'm committed to helping kids see that they deserve to feel confident, supported, and proud of who they are.

Hi! I’m Aanika Bedi, a first-year medical student at BU Chobanian & Avedisian School of Medicine, currently serving as Secretary of National CIOS Leadership and a leader of the BU CASM CIOS chapter. Having experienced skin dermatoses since adolescence, I understand the emotional impact these conditions can have, especially in childhood. I’m excited to continue working with CIOS to foster the support and community I wish I had growing up.

My name is Neemah and I was raised in Lexington, MA. I volunteer for CIOS because I believe everyone should be confident in their bodies and skin. In my free time I enjoy learning languages and exercising 

My name is Kyra Bess, and I am a first-year medical student at Boston University who has spent years mentoring children and working as a camp counselor. As a new student leader for Comfortable in Our Skin, I’m passionate about helping young people from many different backgrounds feel confident and empowered through creative expression and education.

My name is Marley Lucas I am a first-year medical student at Boston University. As a student leader with Comfortable in Our Skin, I am passionate about helping young people of all backgrounds feel confident in themselves by promoting self-acceptance, education, and empowerment.

My name is Lydia Zamidar, and I am a first-year medial student at the Boston University Chobanian & Avedisian School of Medicine. I am currently the Director of Technology for Comforable in Our Skin. I previously conducting research on ezcema where I learned about how impactful skin conditions are on people's psyche. I believe that it is incredibly important to support children and adolescents to be comfortable and accepting of who they are.
